Ward/Goff Scholarship Fund In 1970 the scholarship fund was established by VFW members - Mr. & Mrs. Elwin Ward and Mr. & Mrs. Richard Goff in memory of their sons Roger Elgin Ward and Larry Allen Goff who both were Killed In Action during the Vietnam War. SP4 Ward was 21 years old and with the Army's 9th Infantry Division when he was killed on April 5, 1968. PFC Goff was 19 years old and with the Army's 25th Infantry Division when he was killed on December 21, 1968. Each year three eligible High School Seniors receive a $500 scholarship.
