September 11th
The Honor Guard will be doing their 9/11 Memorial at the front of the Post at 10:00 A.M. Try to attend this, as we honor all the HERO'S of the tragic day. This memorial will only take about 15 minutes.
VFW Scholarship Fund
Students, Grades 9 through 12, if you are planning on going to college you will probably be interested in knowing that VFW has a scholarship fund available to you. You may participate in the Voice of Democracy Essay Contest by writing an essay and submitting it locally to Post #2326 for judging.The winning essay will be forwarded to District 8. The District winner will be sent to the Department of Michigan and that winner will get to go to Washington, D.C. and compete for a top prize of $35,000. The theme for the contest is "Does My Generation Have a Role In America's Future?"
Deadline to have your essay turned in to Post #2326 is November 1, 2010. John Kemme is the Post Chairman. Forms are available in the counseling office.
There is also a Patriot's Pen contest for Middle School students Grade 6, 7 & 8. The theme for this contest is "Does Patriotism Still Matter?" The deadline is also November 1st, 2010.
