The Coast Guard Festival is getting close. Here is some information on what will be happening at the VFW.
Our annual Coast Guard Entertainment Tent is approaching fast. In order to make it a
success we need volunteers to fill a variety of jobs. You do not need to be a VFW
member to volunteer. Jobs available are bartenders, ticket takers, security, and sanitation engineers. The Entertainment Tent will be held on August 1st and 2nd. If you can
help out please sign up at the bar.
We strive To keep the VFW Post 2326 property looking nice. Lately people are throwing butts on the ground right next to the ashtray! Please, show some respect for our club and use the receptacle placed there for YOUR convenience or we may have to look at banning smoking on the premises entirely.
The club will be closed on Sundays and will reopen on Sunday, October 5, 2014

VFW Post 2326 9th Annual Rib Fest
VFW’s Ribfest a success.
The weather cooperated in making the Sgt. Alvin Jonker VFW Post 2326 9th Annual Ribfest the most successful event ever. People from all over the state came out to sample the ribs and side dishes from ten local restaurants and listen to a variety of musical acts perform over the two day event. Some restaurants had lines 20 people deep waiting to taste their ribs. VFW Post 2326 is already in the planning stages to make their 10th annual Ribfest bigger and better in 2015.

“The May 2013 newsletter will be the last newsletter that will be mailed out. In an effort to lower our Post’s expenses and save a few trees we want to send out the newsletter via email. For those individuals that do not have an email address the newsletter will be available at the Post. If you would like to get our newsletter via email please email John Siemion at email@example.com with “Newsletter” in the subject line.
The plan is to have a monthly calendar that will be sent out via email and copies available at the Post for those individuals that do not have email. If there are important updates to the calendar, it would be emailed out as needed with copies available at the Post for pickup. The newsletter portion would go from monthly to quarterly and emailed out just like the calendar with copies available at the Post for pickup.”
